Cappuccino was born at the beginning of October
2001. Out of a clutch of four baby zebra finches, he's one of two fawns; the two
other siblings are white. His mother is a fawn and his father a 'normal'. His
two white sisters are named Frappé and Latte; his bother is Expresso. On 18 October 2001 Cappuccino made the brave attempt at
leaving his nesting box for the very first time. A coincidence or not, but two
of his siblings also braved it out of the security of their wooden home on the
same day, and although they couldn't yet fly, all three attempted in their
unknowledgeable way to escape the confines of their small home by 'diving' the
1,80m height from their nesting box to the floor below. The following pictures tell his story:
